As part of Semaine de l'économie verte, Optonique is hosting a major event on the morning of May 17 to bring together today's leaders and tomorrow's leaders.
This "Focus on the Green Economy" event also marks the International Day of Light (IDL), a UNESCO initiative to celebrate light as a tool to achieve the goals of education, equality and peace.
Photonics is an enabling technology, and in many ways, it is poised to play a key role in the energy transition. The SEV and IDL offer the opportunity to bring together the Quebec photonics community to discuss the role that photonics initiatives - both companies and research centers - are taking and will take in the transition to a green economy.
