Optonique – Quebec’s Photonics Cluster is a non-profit organization (NPO) that contributes to the development of Quebec’s photonics industry. Optonique was born from the desire of companies, research centres and educational institutions to join forces in order to increase their capacity for innovation through collaboration. Since 2017, Optonique has been mobilizing and promoting Quebec’s expertise in photonics.
The photonics sector includes companies from various industries whose common feature is to develop, produce or integrate technologies related to the use of light, such as the generation, transmission, processing, amplification, modulation, and conversion of photons.
Photonics and quantum are intrinsically linked: today’s quantum technologies could not exist without photonics. An emerging sector that is at the heart of the next technological advances!
Optonique offers a varied program of networking events, trade shows, conferences, foreign trade missions and educational seminars.
